and three children Donna returned to the workforce and in 1995 joined the
York Care Centre as an Administrative professional providing support to the
Board of Directors and the CEO, and in 2000 assumed the role of Manager of
Seniors Housing. She is currently a volunteer board member of the NB
Non-Profit Housing Association and through this involvement has developed a
good deal of expertise in the field of public policy dealing with Seniors Housing.
From these various involvements, Donna has become a strong advocate for
housing issues relative to low income seniors and it is her desire to advance
the vision of low income seniors having access to housing that is dignified
and consistent with their needs. Joanne

living in Fredericton for the past nine years. She currently works with
newcomers and immigrants in the community as a Settlement Worker, and loves
every minute of her fulfilling personal and professional life. Her interests
include Multiculturalism and Spirituality. When she is not wrangling her two
feline friends, she enjoys yoga, meditation, travelling with family, reading
and writing. Lindsay Manuel – Member at Large Lindsay works as a Research and Planning Officer
for Violence Prevention Initiatives / Executive Council Office. Marilyn Noble – Workshops and Public Relations Marilyn Noble
co-founded the Nurturing Ourselves conference with Penny Ericson, and was its
coordinator for 9 of its first 10 years. After its first decade, when
attendance had peaked at 535, with 165 women on sponsorships, she decided it
was time to pass the torch to someone else, and begin attending as a
participant (and occasionally as
a workshop presenter). In its 20-year run, she has missed the event
only once. In her other life,
Marilyn is a community-based adult educator with her own consulting practice,
People Link. She facilitates multi-stakeholder dialogue, and is recognized
for her expertise in diversity and inclusion, bullying reduction among
children and youth, and research aimed at early recognition and early
intervention in cases of workplace bullying. Marilyn is taking this year off
to recuperate from five months of being the contractor for renovations to her
century-old house. Marisa Rojas -

international charity that rebuilt 55 schools in the Aceh Region of Indonesia
post-tsunami, four years as a Teacher in BC & ON, a Volunteer with the

of Canada. Pam Burton -

years in maternity/neonatal nursing as a nurse and as a nursing instructor.

more involved over the years, as she found the Nurturing Ourselves
conference, a women's conference, a good fit for her interests. Patricia MacNevin -

Siamese cats, the Red Sox, hockey and Toastmasters. Patricia loves to
